From what we have been able to ascertain, Project "Dragoon" is a project begun and bankrolled by Maerc Techno (we are unable to determine if the funding continues under the umbrella of "Aegis Securitechno", a merger of Maerc and Aegis, but we presume it does), and in association with the United States Air Force (citation needed - is the Air Force acting alone with Maerc on this one - Shelby).
The project appears to be an attempt to bridge the gap between man and machine in furtherance of the development of weaponry.
This project appears to be a negligible threat as concerns our mandate. Recommended that it remains on observation. Intervention unnecessary at this time.

"The Professor"'s take: It's easy. The people behind Dragoon are obviously using the tobacco industry's old tack: hook 'em while they're young.
I absolutely love link-heavy comments!
And indeed, some of the links (above all the second one, to a lesser extent the fourth one) made me go: "Oooooh..."
(Yeah, I am nominally co-author here, but at this point I don't know much more than any "normal" reader regarding in which direction CG will steer this story...)
I like to pride myself on being the person who knows the second most about the workings of Let It Ride (many rereads through help with that). I hope to one day accomplish the same thing with Cryptida, especially in the wake of this project (which has heavy nods to all three of our comics...) :)
No big spoiler here, but to the yin of "Dragon" is the yang of another ToyCo project. It has been hinted at already in these pages, but see the real Chapter 16 of Cryptida for what lengths ToyCo is willing to go to in order to geographically distance it from Director Shelby's "mandate".
Might want to start with a link...
